Program Director
“I have the pleasure of working closely with our Administrative Fellows throughout their two-year experience and witnessing their personal and professional growth during that time is a great joy to me. I am in awe of how each Fellow brings their unique personality to the role and elevates the reputation of the program by expanding upon the long list of accomplishments and accolades. While honing critical qualities including technical skills, leadership, resourcefulness, and ingenuity, our Administrative Fellows mold and customize their experience as they explore the variety of career options Sentara has to offer. It is a meaningful process to witness and support; working with our Fellows on career planning as they learn more about their talents and interests is one aspect I’ve found particularly rewarding. Our Fellows are inspiring!”

- "At 猫咪社区, we prioritize educating and shaping the leaders of tomorrow. We have a long history of investing in our Administrative Fellows who come to Sentara, develop with us, and grow their careers into a calling. Sentara is truly an integrated delivery network allowing us to impact our colleagues, consumers, and communities across the entire care continuum. Our Fellows work with executive leaders, lead local and systemwide projects, and learn both the strategy and delivery of healthcare from financing to care delivery. At Sentara, our Fellows have the opportunity to impact how care is delivered today and how we establish leading practices for the industry.”

Executive Sponsor
- The Sentara Administrative Fellowship Program is one of the premier opportunities in our industry to learn inside of an integrated delivery network. Fellows are exposed to acute care, ambulatory, and health plan operations as well as corporate departments. Through this model, we provide a comprehensive experience that is flexible enough to meet the needs across a variety of interests. From structured rotations to a diverse project portfolio, our Fellowship is designed to move early careerists from graduate learning to applied practice. But our Fellowship is not just about the value Sentara gives – we also receive. Each Fellow brings a fresh perspective and a renewed energy around transformation. It is so rewarding to be part of our Fellows’ journey to becoming "the healthcare leaders of tomorrow".
Dana Weston Graves
President, Sentara Princess Anne Hospital
Early career guidance and support is critical to giving healthcare leaders the skills they need to be successful. The Sentara Administrative Fellowship Program’s success is built on our ability to recruit top talent with high potential for leadership roles. We provide career development and industry knowledge on both the provider and the payer side with a high degree of commitment from Sentara’s Executive Leadership team. We also create a lifelong professional network through the robust Fellowship alumni network. Our goal is for every Fellow to complete the two year program well prepared for operational and strategic leadership roles. As you look around our organization, you can see past fellows thriving – "that speaks volumes about our program". The Fellowship is a valued part of 猫咪社区 and will continue to evolve to meet the fast pace of change in healthcare.

Role of a Rotation Preceptor:
The role of a Rotation Preceptor is to provide day-to-day management of the fellow’s observations, projects, activities, etc., give project guidance and direction, gather and share feedback, identify development opportunities, and help the fellow in their leadership competency development.
